STEPHEN and Marian Smith of The Papillon Foundation and Bishop Thabile Mnisi-Msibi of MS Care and Restoration were offered a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their birthdays in April at Gold Reef City on Saturday March 31.

The Gold Reef City HR Department contacted Stephen with a request to bring 5O orphans to the play park for the free day's outing and this opportunity was grabbed by hosting 56 orphan children from Orange Farm at Gold Reef City.

Sweet packs, juice and candy floss were handed to each child upon arrival at Gold Reef City and the MS Care child minders accompanied by a Gold Reef City staff members escorted them in an orderly way to the kiddies play park.

"The delighted squeals of the small ones on the rides reminded me of our purpose in this life, which is simply to help others. Well do I know the vagaries of this life by growing up without a father and it was certainly a blessing to bring these little ones out to show them that there is a better and caring side to life. It is the seed that we sow today that will make the difference tomorrow," explained Stephen Smith.

A free kiddie's show was also offered to the children at the kiddies play park and at the end of the day tired, but happy little faces reflected the day's rigours.

"A great thank you to Gold Reef City for caring about the desolate plight of these little one's and for assisting us with the means to honour our birthdays," said Stephen.
