Free, accredited, Trauma Training courses for Child workers were hosted in Paarl and George.
Papillon is the patron of a partner Non Profit “Apples of Gold” that offers trauma courses to members of the communities that work with children.
SAPS volunteers, emergency workers, teachers, Non Profit workers, Crèche workers and many others attend the internationally accredited courses.
These popular courses are held across the country and as far afield as Addis Ababa and Ecuador.
1000 plus have completed these courses and are proud certificate owners.
During their 17 years of work in the Gauteng area, The Papillon Foundation have achieved some amazing records. They ran several community improvement projects, most notably; 423 Tons of donated goods were freely distributed to poor areas across the country and 9717 community members graduated from Papillon’s skills training projects.

Mr Edwin Fortuin, a local farm manager, was assisted with 1 Computer, and Stephen and Marian Smith, of The Papillon Foundation, are helping him to become computer literate. A new hard-drive and software were installed in the Computer

- Stephen Smith of Papillon was invited to unveil a Cancer remembrance wall at the school
- Papillon participated in the opening of their new Computer Centre and School Hall
- René Hartley at St John’s Anglican Church in Rusthof Strand has been appointed as The Papillon Foundation representative and distributor in the Strand/Macassar area.
- Papillon has supplied Ms Hartley with 1 Laptop for her work in her own NPO “Building Bridges” Mentorship Programme.
